The Welsh School of Architecture is a department housed within Cardiff University, one of Britain’s larger Civic Universities with over 15,000 students from the UK, Europe and other parts of the world. Cardiff is the largest constituent member of the federal colleges of the University of Wales. The School has one of the best reputations for architectural education in the UK. Consistently near the top of published rankings for teaching and research (rated a Grade 5 in the 2001 RAE), it has provided a professional education for architects over nearly eighty years. The School attracts undergraduate and graduate students from across the world, and has research links with departments of architecture in many countries
